The Re-Entry Ministry is having three fund-raiser events to raise money to relocate the women from the Holly Street Home fire into suitable housing. Founder and executive director Queenie S. Mims is hosting a three-night event Oct. 21 through 23.
Ten women and a two-month-old baby were nearly lost as a five-alarm fire swept through Re-Entry’s Holly Street Home in Bridgeport on Sept. 22. The blaze destroyed the home and left the women homeless.
The events will start at the Bridgeport Holiday Inn on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 7:30 p.m. Apostle Richardson of Holy Ghost Deliverance Cathedral will be the guest speaker. Bishop Kenneth H. Dupree of the Victory Church in Nashville will speak at the Bridgeport Holiday Inn on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 7:30 p.m.
The final event will be held at Holy Ghost Deliverance Cathedral on Thursday Oct. 23, at 7:30 p.m. Bishop Sherman S. Watkins of Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies in Columbus, Ohio, will speak.
